The economic crisis facing the company was so severe and profound that it was unable to even finish the 1977 season. Shortly after the Bergamo Valleys (Bergamo, June 4/5), which ended with two disappointing retirements, M. Gualdi and Roberto Calderoli (in the 125cc class) and Bernardino Gualdi's 7th place in the 175cc class, the Nello team finally disbanded and each went their separate ways.
