Moto S.p.A: / HM-Moto has to file for bankruptcy and will be liquidated.

The partnership with Honda is officially terminated. The role of official partner for Honda's off-road division in Italy is taken over by the newly founded company RedMoto S.r.l.

Moto S.p.A. signs a contract with Honda Italia and becomes the exclusive partner for the distribution and homologation of Honda motocross conversions to enduro bikes in Italy. The combination of Honda and Montesa or Moto S.p.A. gave rise to the brand abbreviation HM.

Alfredo Ciresa founded the company MOTO S.p.A., based in Bindo di Cortenova (in the province of Lecco, Lombardy). The aim was to import Spanish Montesa models to Italy.
