1976

Puch built replicas of the 1975 World Championship machine, but stopped production after less than 100 machines had been made. It was simply too expensive. The engine had two carburetors and was made of magnesium. Construction was so expensive that this motorcycle cost twice as much as a Japanese model. They also produced a Puch 400 motocross bike, but only eight were made.

Puch relocates production of Cobra models from Graz to Avello, Spain.

WM 250ccm Cross

Puch hired the experienced Swede Uno Palm to tackle the ambitious Motocross World Championship project. However, he only joined the team at the fourth Grand Prix in Switzerland and then improved steadily. At his home Grand Prix, he stood on the podium in third place alongside his compatriots Andersson and Hansen.

Belgian Inter 250ccm Cross

Young Harry Everts receives a contract from Puch for the Belgian Championship. Despite strong competition, he immediately achieves fourth place. In the World Championship, he is also able to establish himself in the shadow of the experienced Palm and regularly scores points.

As a large manufacturer with many production divisions, off-road motorcycle racing is not a priority for Puch. Nevertheless, a small team has launched a project that was designed from the outset to exit again with a possible world championship title.

1970

Californian Ted Lapadakis becomes importer of the new Puch 125/175cc machines, which are built specifically for motocross and off-road use.

Puch acquired a 50% stake in Avello in Spain, which had previously manufactured MV Agusta mopeds under license, among other things.

Jahresereignis

Through Joel Robert's mediation, Harry Everts was hired to race the 125cc bike in Southern California in order to polish up the brand image, which was still being marketed under the Allstate brand at the time. Although this probably increased awareness in Southern California somewhat, it was not yet what they wanted to achieve.

1957

Puch begins sales in the USA under the names Allstate and Sears, including the Sears 250 SGS Twingle.
