2019		Starting in the 2020 season, Nestaan-MX, owned by industrialist Kay Hennekens, will be responsible for Husqvarna's factory operations. Rasmus Jorgensen, Martens' former driver coach, will become the new team manager.
2014		Jacky Martens' JM Racing Team will be responsible for Husqvarna's MX2 factory entries.
2013		Pierer Mobility, owned by Stefan Pierer (KTM), is acquiring Husqvarna from BMW.
2007		BMW acquired the Husqvarna brand to gain a foothold in the off-road segment.
1993		After KTM parted ways with its French importer SIMA, the latter is now taking over imports to France for Husqvarna. SIMA is currently also the importer for the Italian brand Beta.
1987		Husqvarna's motorcycle division is sold to the Italian Cagiva Group (MV Agusta Group). Production also moves to Varese. A hard core of Swedish engineers does not want to leave Sweden. They then founded the Husaberg brand to continue the Swedish enduro tradition.
1974		WM 500ccm Cross Heiki won the first four GPs with six race wins and two second places. He only had to sit out the German GP in Beuern before securing the title with four more wins. The 360cc factory Husqvarna underwent further chassis modifications at the start of the season, with the shock absorbers being significantly tilted.

The icon: In 1955, the Silverpilen (Silver Arrow) was launched, a lightweight 175cc two-stroke machine designed specifically for off-road use. It laid the foundation for world fame in off-road sports.
Dominance: In the 1960s and 1970s, Husqvarna was the world power in motocross and enduro. Legends such as Steve McQueen made the brand (especially the 400 Cross) a cult object in the USA.
Successes: Over 70 world championship titles and numerous victories in legendary races such as the Baja 1000.

Sale to Cagiva: In 1987, the motorcycle division was sold to the Italian Cagiva Group (MV Agusta Group). Production moved to Varese, Italy.

Takeover by BMW: BMW bought the brand to gain a foothold in the off-road segment. Models such as the Nuda 900 were created, combining the technology of both brands. However, success fell short of expectations.

Pierer Mobility: In 2013, Stefan Pierer (KTM) bought Husqvarna from BMW.
Merger: Pierer reunited Husqvarna and the "spin-off" Husaberg. Since then, Husqvarna motorcycles have used KTM platforms (engines and frames), but retain their own identity through design (Kiska) and details (e.g., composite rear frame).
Modern: With the Vitpilen and Svartpilen models, the brand made a successful return to the road.
