The Austrian KSR Group acquires the trademark rights to the Malaguti name. Behind the KSR Group is the Austrian family business Kirschenhofer. The company is managed by brothers Christian and Leonhard Kirschenhofer. The company is headquartered in Gedersdorf, Lower Austria. KSR primarily operates as one of the largest importers of two-wheelers in Europe. They specialize in licensing or purchasing well-known brand names (such as Malaguti or Lambretta) and having these vehicles manufactured by partners in Asia (primarily in China, e.g., by manufacturers such as Zongshen). In addition to Malaguti, the group's portfolio also includes its own brands such as Brixton Motorcycles and Motron.
The Moto Morini brand has been acquired by the Chinese Zhongneng Vehicle Group.
Roger de Coster will become Motorsport Director North America for the entire group (KTM and Husqvarna). He will hand over direct management of the KTM team to Ian Harrison.
Roger Harvey is moving into the role of HRC advisor for MXGP.
